Text automatically appears in a textbox

Text automatically appears in a textbox

Text may automatically appear/change in search boxes or forms on the ASSA website.

When this happens it is often due to browser settings or a 3rd party extension.  The steps below will help you resolve this issue.

Check Browser Settings:

Some browsers have autofill forms which may cause this issue.

  1. Check your browser settings using the appropriate link.
  1. Delete or remove any inaccurate details from the AutoFill form
    OR
Clear AutoFill history (This may delete autofill data for other websites)

Check for 3rd Party Extensions:

Extensions that manage form data may cause this issue (Such as: LastPass or 1Password)

  1. Disable or remove all extensions using the appropriate link.
  1. Reopen or refresh the page where text would AutoFill
    1. If the issue is resolved enable 1 extension and repeat step 2
    2. If the issue returns the most recently enabled extension is causing the autofill

You can delete or edit the form data in that extension (See extension developers website for more details)
